How a staff availability deadline works
Imagine you are creating the staff rota for June. You set the availability deadline for 1 May.
Until that date, employees enter their own availability in the Tiemdo app, letting you know when they can and cannot work. As soon as you set the deadline, everyone receives a notification. The deadline is also clearly displayed in the app.
There is no need to keep chasing employees for their availability. That means fewer messages, fewer questions and less time spent organising your rota.
After the deadline, availability is locked
Once the deadline has passed, employees can no longer change their availability themselves. You have all the information you need and can create your hospitality staff rota without last-minute interruptions.
Need to allow another change? You can temporarily reopen the deadline. It will then be open to the entire team again.
And what happens if someone later discovers they cannot work their shift? That will always happen from time to time. But it does not have to become your problem.
The employee can find a colleague and swap the shift, or offer the shift to another team member through Tiemdo.
